Lenna-Maree Moxey is a qualified Singing Voice Specialist and Piano Tutor. Having graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, (studying Jazz Voice and Vocal Pedagogy), Lenna has been teaching since 2006. She has recently taught voice students at Mercy College, Jazz voice students for the Central Queensland University (CQU) and at various music tuition centres and dance schools in Brisbane. Whether you are looking to begin singing lessons as a hobby or create a career out of it, Lenna is the perfect teacher for you. She has a range of experience in ages, abilities and voice types and has taught students ranging in ages from 4 through to 80 years old. By studying vocal pedagogy from experts in the industry such as Irene Bartlett, Sharny Russell, Lisa Ryan-McLaughlin and by attending master classes with international experts in the industry; such as Neil Semer (New York), Mark de Lisser and Dane Chalfin (London); she has learnt how to improve the sound of the voice. Lenna particularly stays up-to-date with belt technique and range building and is readily becoming an expert in the field. She has a passion to provide her students with these skills. Not only can Lenna teach you how to sing in various styles, but she has the ability to equip you with healthy technique for a lifetime in the music industry - enabling you to have the stamina to make it through any performance.
Having played the piano for over 22 years Lenna teaches students from beginners to grade 5 AMEB standard in classical repertoire, as well as modern styles. She offers singers practical piano skills for those who wish to accompany themselves in a contemporary setting. Lenna seeks to discover the unique needs of each student and best match repertoire and skill development suited to achieving their goals.
Performance opportunities are available such as frequent student recitals (perfect for first time performers). Lenna is also able to prepare students for music exams, recording sessions, Eisteddfods, auditions and competitions.
Lessons are tailor-made to suit your needs. They are fun, relaxed and full of all the tools that, with practice, will develop you into the best singer/musician you can be. Lenna has had experience in many and varied contemporary styles, events and productions and through her experience as a current performer in the industry is relevant and inspirational.
