Qualifications/Teaching Experience:
I graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium in 1989 with a Post Graduate Diploma in Opera and in 1990 was selected as a Young Artist with Opera Queensland. I moved to London in 1995 and in that time I have performed at at Covent Garden, Holland Park, the Sydney Opera House, St. John’s Smith Square, St Martins in the Field, the British Proms, soloist with Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Little Venice Music Festival, the Brisbane Music Festival, the Redlands Bay Opera Gala and various corporate events with the Amica Jazz Duo.
I have been a finalist of the Dame Joan Sutherland Singing Award, Runner-up of the Bayreuth Opera Bursary (UK) and Australian Classical Musician of the Year Tait Memorial Trust UK.
In 2002 prior to becoming a singing teacher I joined the British Voice Association. I have studied with Jan Delpratt, Janice Chapman, Dinah Harris, Sally Burgess and Mark Meylan
On my return from the UK in 2008, I established the Kerri Eaton Singing Studio in Gympie.
As well as teaching from my private singing studio, I have taught at St Teresa's Catholic College 2009-1017, the Cooloola Christian College and been a guest voice teacher and mentor at the University of Queensland.
Currently, I am a voice teacher at Matthew Flinders Anglican College and a voice coach for the Creative Alliance, plus I continue to teach at my private studio.
